I had the idea to make this short documentary when I saw the passion my friend Sam had for film photography. Making this short film involved planning and filming an overnight hiking trip, waking up at 5am to hike through the rain and shoot a sunrise. It also included preparing and shooting an interview style segment, as well as writing and leading the questions.
The View from Halfway Down

The View from Halfway Down was made in memory of my cousin David, who took his own life several years ago. After hearing the poem of the same name by writer Allison Tafel, I knew I wanted to make a dance film. Choregraphed by dancer Ryann Young, this shoot involved planning and shooting a dance film at sunset as well as recording voice over narration.

Mentors Empowered is a non profit dedicated to improving the lives of school aged children by mentoring teens to become mentors themselves. This promotional video included setting up lighting, camera and audio equipment and conducting an interview.
